- A benign proliferative disorder characterized by fascial nodules and contractures of the hand 
- Patients come for decreased ROM and pain over nodules 
- more frequent and more severe in men 
- location : ring > small > middle > index 
- Treatment - Range of motion exercises 
- injection of Clostridium histolyticum collagenase (Xiaflex), especially in MCP cords 
- needle aponeurotomy. For mild contractures (at the MCP > PIP) 
- surgical resection/fasciectomy. - MCP flexion contractures > 30° 
- PIP flexion contractures 
- painful nodules are not an indication for surgery 
 
 
- Complications - digital ischemia 
- skin necrosis 
- hematoma 
- infection
